David meets with Betty to place an order.

Dialogue 对话

Betty: I'm really glad that you can meet with me today to discuss the details of your order.

David: We need those items urgently. I thought if I met with you face-to-face, it would expedite the process.

Betty: Well, which model did you want to order and how many pieces are you looking at?

David: Well, we want five hundred pairs of the HR624 speakers. The price you quoted me before was eighty-five U.S. dollars.

Betty: Yes, that's correct.

David: Would it be possible for you to lower the price a little if we ordered a thousand speakers?

Notes：

1. look at 考虑……；打算……

“look at”本意是“看”，在口语中，可表示“考虑；打算”的意思，后面接动名词或名词。



I am looking at buying a new stereo for the living room.

2. run 继续或成为某种状态

在商业用语中，“run”除了常常用来表示“经营；操作；运转”之外，也可用来表达“继续或成为某种状态”的意思，这时通常会用进行时。例如：“we're running low on gas”是指“我们的汽油不多了”。



I was running late today. I didn't get into work until ten o'clock.

3. come to 一共是；总计

要注意在这个用法中，“come to”后面是接金额。

4. go out 出货；送出去
